Libraries
Our three libraries have all the resources you'd expect—online journals and references, rare manuscripts, government documents dating back centuries and, of course, more than a million books.
80 libraries at your fingertips
DU is hooked up to a network of 80 library sites in Colorado, including libraries at other universities. So if you need a resource that you can't find at any of the campus facilities—Penrose Library, the Music Library and the Westminster Law Library—you can request it online and have it delivered in a few days.
Help is always at hand
When the stacks start to seem intimidating and all your options are overwhelming, there are experts available. Reference librarians are always easy to find, and they're happy to help you wade through the sea of resources or to suggest new avenues you hadn't considered.
When you have a question, just e-mail it to a reference librarian, who will sort through the books and databases and e-mail an answer back. Should you need one-on-one assistance, that's available, too.
A late-night refuge
The Penrose and Westminster libraries stay open till midnight during the week, and they have cushy chairs and loads of computer workspaces. They're quiet, comfortable havens for studying and writing.
